Fitment

  • Gas tank has a right side petcock location that uses 1975-up type and a fuel capacity of 3.1 gallons.
  • The tank uses the same mounting as an original tank.
  • Tank is made 2" wider than stock and includes stock style mounts.
  • Order gas cap separately.
  • Check the tank for flaws and fit before painting.
  • Do not grind or sand the seams or joints. Clean the inside of the tank.
  • It is suggested to pressure test and use a tank sealer.
  • We suggest using Kreem gas tank combo kit to clean, condition, and seal to help stop leaks and prevent corrosion.
  • Check petcock opening, making sure the petcock can be easily installed.
  • Petcock fitting should be masked or plugged during painting for easy installation of petcock.
  • *Note: UPS may consider this part as packaged "oversize" for shipment, as compared to the actual weight, which will result in higher shipping costs.
  • NOTE GAS TANKS MY NEED SOME BODY WORK, ALL GAS TANKS WILL NEED TO BE PAINTED
